THE MARATHON IS SAT, OCT. 6TH !!
The Marathon for Non-Public Education is our school's annual fall fundraiser, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the school! It will take place on Saturday, October 6th from 8:00am – 1:00pm at Central Park in Roseville. It's a fun event where King of Kings students and their families bike, walk or run around Bennett Lake in Central Park. Prior to the marathon, students are asked to get pledges from relatives, friends, neighbors, etc. for either a dollar amount per lap (e.g., $5/lap) or a total amount determined by the sponsor.
This year we are raising funds for:
Please encourage your children to start getting pledges if they haven't already. Our marathon will only be as successful as our students' efforts to get pledges. Here are some ideas of potential sponsors: grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, neighbors, coaches, co-workers (you could leave the pledge sheet in your office's coffee/lunch area), fellow church members, Facebook friends, etc.
Kids are also invited to bring their pledge sheets to King of Kings this Sunday (Sept. 23) and next Sunday (Sept. 30) in between church services (9:30-10:00am); there will be a marathon table set up in the coffee/fellowship area where church members will be able to sponsor students.
Remind your kids that there will be prizes for:
A big thank you to those of you who have already volunteered to help with the Marathon! If you haven't signed up yet, please do that now at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409094caba628a2fe3-2018.
